Our Story
Based in Singapore, Red Dot Restoration is an independent art conservation company with a wide portfolio in Asia and beyond. We provide museum quality conservation services and aim to perform every treatment with the highest level of ethical standards.
Each project has a unique history and context that requires an individualized approach to treatment, and clients have specific needs and expectations. Concerns like material and condition are carefully considered, and each custom treatment plan addresses artist intent, storage, display, environment, and re-treatability.
Our holistic approach, guided by the philosophy that long term preservation and high level client service informs treatment, distinguishes Red Dot Restoration as a leader in the conservation field.

Filipa Machado, CEO & Founder
After studying decorative painting at the Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation, fine arts at the Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and art conservation on internship at the Jose Figueiredo Institute. Filipa was inspired to pursue a career in the field of art conservation.
In 2002, she began working with Junqueira 220, a leading conservation company in Portugal, among a team of professionals dedicated to the conservation and restoration of artistic heritage. The company has collaborated with various entities such as churches, museums, palaces, banks, private institutions, and private collections to provide conservation services for paintings, murals, carved wood, antique fine frames, gilding, objects, and sculptures.
Through Red Dot Restoration, Filipa has brought her expertise in art conservation and decorative painting to Singapore since moving here with her family nine years ago. An award-winning artist with a career spanning over two decades, she has been honored with prestigious recognitions, including the 2010 Vilalva Award and the APOM Award. With a diverse portfolio across various countries, including Portugal, the United States, France, and now Singapore, Filipa is a leading figure in the field of art restoration. She is dedicated to preserving cultural heritage through her work both locally and internationally.
