What to Expect

When conserving a piece, our goal is to preserve the artist’s original intent by using non-invasive and reversible techniques and utilizing archival-grade materials, thus forming our treatment philosophy: less is more.

Red Dot Restoration strives to uphold the greatest standard of care when preserving and handling your artwork.

Please take a look at the services we offer, or contact us for more information.

We look forward to assisting with your next project.

How do I get started?

Please contact us by phone to +65 87101900, email, or use our contact form with a description of your artwork, images, and your contact information. Please be as detailed as possible in describing the damage or other issues with the artwork- the more information you can provide the easier it will be to determine the proper course of action.

If circumstances demand, an on-site consultation can be scheduled. There is never a fee for an in-studio consultation, examination, or proposal.

What happens next?

The information you provide will be reviewed and a conservation proposal will be assembled and sent to you. The proposal will outline all the work that needs to be completed to address any issues that may be found during the examination. The proposal will contain a timeline and price. At no point will the price ever change; what is quoted is firm and will never increase midway through the process regardless of any complications.

How do I proceed with the treatment?

In order to proceed with treatment, upon receiving the written documentation clients must send a 50% deposit on the estimated treatment cost and a signed proposal. The work will be carried out at Red Dot Restoration studio and kept in a monitored climate environment for the duration of treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment timeline will be stated at the proposal for clients approval and is dependent on a variety of conditions – from the workload of the studio to the complexity of treatment. We can accommodate clients with specific timeline needs by request.
